Fall Field Trips 1 and 2

Okay, I'm super behind on posting pictures of our life lately, so I'm going to try and whip some posts out this week of mainly pictures so I can get them saved into files and off my "to-do" list.

We've had a busy Fall so far (and hence the late posting of pics), but we're having a lot of fun with our homeschooling.  One fun thing we've added this year is our participation in a homeschool group!  We've been on a few field trips already (a nature scavenger hunt/picnic, a pumpkin patch/corn maze/picnic, a musical, and an aquaponics farm!).  We're all enjoying the friendships, education, support and fun!

Here are some pics from our first 2 outings!

Devils Lake State Park
A chilly Fall hike in the woods and a nature scavenger hunt with explorer books.

Pumpkin Patch / Corn Maze
This was SUCH a fun day at the patch!  They had 40 foot tube slides, a room full of corn to play in, the MOST AMAZING corn maze and a super fun wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch where the kids got to choose a pumpkin!

Here's a picture I took of an aerial photo of the pumpkin patch.  It was incredible!

You started out with 1 piece of a map of the maze.  You had to use the part of the map that you had to find the next mailbox (which held the next piece of the map).  Eventually when you had all 8 pieces of the map, you could read it to find your way out of the maze.  I'm pretty sure the mommas had the most fun on this part, but it was a family effort!  :-)

Fun Fall times!
Thanks for stopping by!
