We decided Friday morning at 9:00 to go camping. By noon, we were on the road and headed north!
Danny had a big paper due for school this week and also needed to help a friend move (to our town - YAY!) I figured the house would be MUCH quieter with the three of us not in it, and we wouldn't be much help to the movers with 2 excited little girls running through everything, so we might as well throw some clothes and our instruments in the car and hit the open road!
The weather was BEAUTIFUL all weekend. Even the ride there and back was delightful, windows down, music on, shoes off...you get the drift!
As always, the best part of the trip was spending time with my family. It's nice when no one has anywhere to be, nothing to get done...it's about relaxing and enjoying the great company!

After ice cream, time for the beach...there are lakes EVERYWHERE up north, and this one is tucked back in the woods a little bit...like our own little secret beach!
Through the woods, the clearing straight away...I could feel my girl's freedom and confidence when I looked at this shot...great memories!
